PokeVenture 2 Round 2      The ancient corridors were cool, with a fine layer of dust that coated everything. They smelled like wet sand, and every so often the sound of water dripping into a puddle interrupted Seren's quiet footsteps. Yep, I'm a pony fan. I appreciate a good cartoon, and MLP: FiM is probably the best cartoon I've seen recently. The detail, the character development, the imagination in it-- all things that appeal to me, and obvioulsy I'm not the only one. ^^

So this is my OC-- she doesn't quite have a name yet, but yes, she's basically me in pony form. It was a lot of fun drawing her-- I've been doodling ponies for a while, but only recently really got the style down. Her cutie mark is a dinosaur skull if that wasn't obvious, though I haven't quite figured out how a pegasus got into paleontology. |D

Anyway, enjoy. ^^

Yay, an OC with a paleontology cutie mark. Wanted to do something like that myself, but I couldn't imagine a proper design. I like it...and for the name:
How about Sediment? Or...Fossil Dig?....doesn't sound very good....hmm....

It was a little tricky for me too, but just keep playing with designs and themes and you can probably come up with something! ^^

As for the name, I'm actually just really lazy and haven't edited the title or anything; her name is Terra Soar. :D

Haha, well trust me, I had a hard time coming up with it, and even had to have input from friends! Just don't give up, and maybe use a thesaurus to come up with words related to what you want; also remember that a pony's name isn't just related to their cutie mark, but also what kind of pony they are-- pegasi usually relate to the sky or weather, I think unicorns tend to have "flashy" or power-related names, and earth ponies often relate to the land in some way. So for example, "Terra" sounds like an earth pony name, but "Soar" marks her as having a pegasus heritage, and combined they play on "pterosaur", representing her love for ancient reptiles. ^^

Obviously as a filly she flew into a soft rock mountain and accidentally unearthed some fossils. :p
